Providence Transport Support Associate in Anchorage, Alaska
Providence is calling a Transport Support Associate (Transport And Logistics, Variable , 1.0 FTE) to Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska. In this position you will:
Under the guidance of department supervisor and manager responsible for independently escorting visitors and discharging patients via wheelchair throughout the PAMC campus.
Provide friendly, informative, and timely service at the information desk to visitors needing wayfinding assistance.
Manage workflow and respond to requests for services utilizing automated dispatching system TeleTracking. Responsible for maintaining accuracy with the system and communicating any delays or cancelations in requests to pertinent unit staff.
Ensure patient/visitor safety by using proper equipment and safety techniques.
Responsible for driving visitors across PAMC/HealthPark skybridge in cart as needed.
Responsible for delivering newspapers, mail, emails, flowers and gifts to inpatient units as needed.
Comply with isolation standards and equipment disinfecting techniques and guidelines.
Maintain hospital wide moveable patient care equipment inventory and delivery. Report equipment malfunction and facilities issues appropriately.
Hold self and others accountable for the delivery of excellent customer services and quality care following hospital and departmental safety standards, policies and procedures.
Implement care/services that recognize age/diversity specific needs/issues of customers served.
Regularly attend 50% of department staff meetings. Responsible for all meeting content regardless of attendance.
Required qualifications for this position include:
- Must complete BLS certification within 6 months
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
H.S. Diploma or GED
One (1) year in a Customer Service position/field.
