Providence Health & Services RN - Performance Improvement Coordinator in Anchorage, Alaska
Providence is calling a Performance Improvement Coordinator ( Quality Improvement , Day Shift, 1.0 FTE) to Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska. In this position you will:
Apply knowledge/expertise in quality improvement methodology to identify, facilitate, and consult with others for improvement projects and ongoing initiatives throughout the organization.
Use a variety of tools and methodologies appropriately to achieve results in improving care and services, including PDCA, Rapid Cycle Improvement, Root Cause Analysis and Failure Mode Effect Analysis.
Provide leadership and consultative services to departments and services within the organization in achieving regulatory, accreditation, and organizational compliance in patient quality and patient safety initiatives.
Work to ensure that quality and patient safety are the guiding principles when exploring organizational efforts to control healthcare costs.
Serve as a resource on documentation of care requirements, measurement of performance relative to regulatory standards, and improvement strategies to meet and exceed requirements and standards.
Utilize excellent written and verbal communication skills, applicable in both individual and organizational settings, to establish and maintain effective relationships, facilitate multi-disciplinary teams, and produce written and/or verbal reports.
Use knowledge of team process, facilitation, and collaboration to increase effectiveness of work groups and committees
Act as an agent of change and is effective in the change process, including the identification of opportunities to improve, the resolution of problems, and the evaluation of the effectiveness of change.
Create and support an environment that fosters teamwork, emphasizes quality, recognizes the customer, and promotes learning
Required qualifications for this position include:
Graduate of an accredited/approved nursing program.
Evidence of on-going personal professional growth and education.
4 years of recent Medical Center health care experience. Emphasis in cardiovascular, critical and/or progressive care preferred.
Registered Nurse Licensure required.
Certification as Health Care Quality Professional preferred.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) card must be from American Heart Association (AHA) upon hire.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (If hired without BSN must achieve degree completion within 3 years of hire)
