Providence Health & Services Restaurant Services Assistant III - Coffee Carts in Anchorage, Alaska
Providence is calling a Restaurant Services Assistant III ( Coffee Carts , Variable Shift, 1.0 FTE) to Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all - especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
In this position you will:
Coordinate the daily activities of restaurant staff in the performance of their duties seeing they are able to complete their tasks and scheduled breaks.
Work closely with Supervisor to implement changes, programs and policies.
Provide excellent customer service through ensuring staff is prepared for customers at all times, that customer and/or patient requests or orders are handled and filled pleasantly, quickly and accurately.
Operate cash register and correctly completes cash reconciliation forms.
Prepare and deliver catered functions as requested.
Work in a courteous and polite manner while dealing with customers.
Operate food service equipment safely, and within OSHA.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Anchorage Municipality Food Handlers card within 30 days of hire
Ability to read, write, and speak English
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
High school diploma or equivalent
Specific vocational training - training can be provided in a school, work, military, institutional or vocational environment
1 year training or on the job training in quantity food preparation and basic principles of sanitation and safety in food handling
Previous employee supervision experience
