Providence Health & Services Rehabilitation Support Specialist in Anchorage, Alaska

Description:

Providence is calling a Rehabilitation Support Specialist (Rehab Therapy Admin, Day Shift, 1.0 FTE) to Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska. We are a community of caregivers delivery every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all - especially those who are poor and vulnerable.

This is a full time role in our Rehab Therapy department. Shift will primarily be Monday - Friday 9:30 am - 6:00 pm.

In this position you will:

  • Organize and expedite the flow of work according to department standards and guidelines.

  • Schedule patient clinic appointments.

  • Assist with department specific audits/projects and reporting requirements.

  • Assist and resolves patient inquiries (scheduling and billing) appropriately and in a timely manner.

  • Answer incoming calls using courteous phone etiquette.

  • Responsible for keeping treatment areas and equipment clean and organized.

  • Ensure clinic maintenance and infection control standards are followed.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Working knowledge of scheduling and registration systems in a medical office setting

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • 2 years of experience in a medical office setting and familiar with medical insurance billing

  • Bilingual
