Provider Solutions & Development (PS&D) is calling a Program Manager Outreach to our location in Portland, OR. This position is remote and can sit in any Providence approved state location within the US.

We’re searching for an experienced Program Manager to join our team. Our ideal candidate will have expertise in developing strategies and process to drive programmatic success. The incumbent should be able to work both independently and with cross-functional teams to develop and refine tactics that support resident recruitment & retention, residency program relationship development, and overall program growth.

In this role, the Program Manager will primarily work with internal stakeholders in Graduate Medical Education (GME) and the Providence Physician Enterprise, while strategically partnering across Recruitment, Sales, Outreach teams within PS&D.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Lead development and execution of internal outreach strategy with the primary objective of engaging all residents and fellows across the Providence health system via multiple channels.

  • Develop strategic plans and lead various activities to increase engagement across regional medical groups and our training physicians.

  • Facilitate a regular cadence of curated educational presentations to residency and fellowship programs internally.

  • Own tracking and reporting on annual retention of Providence-trained physicians. Provide strategic vision for increases in retention.

  • Participate in physician workforce planning strategy workgroups to support increase in retention.

  • Primary point of contact for Shared Services functions (Accounts Payable, Human Resources, Technology) on execution of resident incentive program.

  • Track and manage delivery of initial/annual installment payouts for Providence residents who opt for our internal incentive package.

  • Develop a mechanism to track and engage visiting student learners/rotating residents, with the goal of maintaining lines of communication after their rotation is completed.

  • Oversee necessary process improvement and collaborations with the provider onboarding team to ensure our residents receive a superior onboarding experience as new interns.

  • Collaborate with key department leaders to assess needs, develop actionable plans, and implement them flawlessly to meet the recruitment and retention needs of Providence.

  • Participate in various graduate medical education workgroups and councils across the organization. Act as primary liaison and stakeholder on behalf of PS&D.

  • Work with executives, physician leaders, and others to articulate and implement physician retention strategies for Providence. Create and manage reporting mechanisms.

  • Oversee engagement strategy of annual, incoming resident and fellow hires across our regions.

  • Measure program performance and make formal recommendations for any necessary improvements and additions to drive program growth.

  • Own data integrity for all Providence residents and fellows as they move from trainees to recruits.

  • Develop and maintain SharePoint sites and other technology that supports the collection of data, communication, and facilitation of PS&D’s engagement with our physician training programs. To also include development of additional communication platforms for PSJH GME.

  • Document critical data points on Providence-trained residents and fellows based on their engagement with the program. Skills:

  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills that support building relationships and inspiring confidence with all those you encounter.

  • Ability to deliver clear and highly informative presentations across multiple levels of stakeholders.

  • Highly effective in building operational plans, trackers, and processes.

  • Physician/clinical professional relationship management experience preferred.

  • Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.

  • Ability to lead projects, initiatives, and change processes in a large, highly matrixed environment.

  • Experienced relationship builder that thrives in an entrepreneurial environment.

  • Ability to travel within regional scope periodically.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education/experience.

  • 5 years experience in like-minded roles.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Master's Degree.

  • 3 years Planning, executing or supporting events, marketing, brand promotion, recruitment or sales development.

  • Understanding of recruitment marketing (healthcare).
