Providence Health & Services Pharmacy Technician II in Anchorage, Alaska
Providence is calling a Pharmacy Technician II (Pharmacy, Variables, 1.0 FTE) to Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska. In this position, you will:
Dedicate controlled substance medication distribution to patient care units with discrepancy resolution.
Medication inventory control and discrepancy resolution of the Pharmacy Controlled Substance Safe.
Prepare and reconcile controlled substance Anesthesia packs.
Medication inventory control for the OR Center Core / Anesthesia workroom.
Inventory Control and Preparation of IV and Oral Bulk Packaging: IV packaging preparation in accordance to policies Aseptic
Aseptic Preparation of Compounded Sterile Preparations:
IV packaging preparation in accordance to policies
Aseptic Preparation of Parenteral Products & Aseptic
Preparation of Compounded Sterile Preparations and USP 797 Guidelines
Daily preparation of sterile injectable medication cart, large and small volume infusions.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High school diploma or equivalent
Licensed as a Pharmacy Technician by the State of Alaska
2 years pharmacy technician in a hospital environment
Preferred qualification for this position include:
- IV experience
