Providence Medical Staff Coordinator in Anchorage, Alaska
Providence is calling a Medical Staff Coordinator (Medical Staff Office, Days, 1.0 FTE) to Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska. In this position you will:
Develop and maintain all Medical Staff files.
Work regularly with the leaders of the medical staff to include the Department Chairs and Elected leadership to review files, plan interviews and to resolve any other issues.
Secretarial duties requested by the Medical Staff members, Medical Staff Department Chairs, Medical Staff Leadership and committees of the Medical Staff.
Maintain a current binder of all Medical Staff privileges in the Nursing Supervisors office in the event of system down time.
Maintain current privileges for all practitioners in electronic software.
Be responsible for the maintenance of the medical staff data base, inputs all relevant data, generates rosters and reports as needed to staff, the medical staff, its committees and appropriate hospital departments.
Assist the elected medical staff leadership, administration and the Manager of Medical Staff Services to determine committee leaders and membership for each medical staff year.
Required qualification for this position include:
- 4 years administrative experience
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Experience working with senior level or executive management
2 years related experience in Medical Staff services
Coordinator preferred CPCS-Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist and/or CPMSM-Certified Professional Medical Services Management preferred.
If not already certified, certification shall be obtained within 4 years from date of hire.
