Providence Health & Services Manager - Laundry Services in Anchorage, Alaska
Providence is calling a Manager - Laundry Services (Laundry, Day Shift, 1.0 FTE) to Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all - especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
In this position, you will:
Understand the needs of Laundry Service customer and prioritize work assignments and team efforts toward meeting these needs.
Clearly and consistently communicate agreed Laundry Services priorities and desired outcomes to staff.
Routinely review the performance of Laundry Services teams against key indicators, and takes action when necessary to improve outcomes.
Coach and support Laundry Services staff at multi-sites with the process of making decisions which support teamwork and produce intended outcomes.
Effectively interact with other departments and teams to accomplish outcomes in a way, which promotes teamwork.
Provide a pleasant work environment for the Laundry teams.
Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of laundry operations and management.
Implement care/services that recognize age/diversity specific needs/issues of customers served.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High School diploma or G.E.D.
Certificate as a Laundry Linen Manager (CLLM) or Registered Laundry Linen Director (RLLD) must be obtained within 1 year of accepting the position
5 years laundry management experience or 5 years of manager level or above experience in a healthcare setting
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Graduate of a course for laundry management
Laundry experience in a healthcare setting
