Mammography Technologist 0.0 FTE, Days at Providence Imaging Center

Under supervision of a Radiologist performs mammographic examinations utilizing a variety of sophisticated radiologic equipment in the diagnosis of patient condition, taking into account individual patient's special physical or age related needs.

Required qualifications:

  • Associates Degree in Radiologic Technology -or- graduate of an ARRT approved program

  • Registered Technologist (R.T.) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within six (6) months of hire in the position

  • ARRT - Mammography certification within one (1) year of hire in the position

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six (6) months of hire

Preferred qualifications:

  • Two (2) years clinical experience as a Radiologic Technologist

  • One (1) year clinical experience as a Mammographer

About the Providence Imaging Center

Providence Imaging Center (PIC) is an independent diagnostic testing facility for outpatient medical imaging, located on the east side of the Providence Alaska Medical Center campus. PIC completed an expansion, which added 8,000 square feet, and several pieces of new equipment and 23 dedicated PIC parking spots conveniently located adjacent to the facility. Board –certified Radiologists and a team of highly qualified trained technologist and professional clerical staff are dedicated to providing clients with high quality imaging exams in a caring comfortable and convenient environment.
