Providence Health & Services Client Services Representative in Anchorage, Alaska
Providence is calling a temporary Client Services Representative (Lab Outreach Admin, Variable Shift, 1.0 FTE) to Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska. We are a community of caregivers delivery every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all - especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
In this position you will:
Maintain patient/client confidentiality.
Release information according to PHSA and Laboratory policy.
Be responsible for completing accurate records and reports and other information for Medical Records/Master Files database within scope of work assignments.
Use positive interpersonal skills to educate/support laboratory customers and promote success of team members.
Participate in QC/QI for area of work. Take corrective action when deficiencies are noted.
Comply with laboratory and hospital safety procedures.
Practice Body Substance Isolation.
Identify real or potential situations, investigate and attempt to resolve within area of knowledge.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High school diploma
1 year of customer service experience and computer experience
Familiar with medical nomenclature pronunciation
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
2 years college education
Clinical laboratory or medical system experience
