Providence Health & Services Certified Occuptational Therapy Assistant in Anchorage, Alaska
Providence is calling a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to the Providence Transitional Care Center in Anchorage, Alaska. This is full-time day shift.

In this position you will:
Evaluate residents with structured/standardized test per the OTR/L’s discretion.
Give the Occupational Therapist data for evaluation.
Write the treatment plan for resident’s therapy per the OTR/L’s discretion.
Provide occupational therapy to residents. Documents goals and progress for the medical record according to facility guidelines.
Teach staff, residents and family member’s therapeutic strategies for increasing independence with ADLs.
Order inventory and equipment as needed.
Evaluate and recommends adaptive equipment for increasing independence with ADLs.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Graduate from an associate degree program in Occupational Therapy Assistant
Certified by National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, Inc (NBCOT)
Licensed in the State of Alaska as a COTA
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- 1 year of clinical experience with physical disabilities
About the Transitional Care Neighborhood
The Transitional Care Unit has a total of 52 beds with a variety of health rehabilitation issues (ages 20 and up). This is an exciting, busy unit with constant change, many admits, discharges.
